being a mother can feel…complicated.
Incandescent joy. crushing isolation. wonder at the little beings. being everything to everyone. (enough pressure to create a diamond.)
oh, and don’t forget to make it look easy.
it isn’t what i expected either.
I’m kristina ~ Let’s get to know each other
I’ve been there. In the darkest nights of breastfeeding a tiny baby. In the long afternoon hours that somehow feels like it takes a decade to pass. In the moments of awe at their persistence and bravery.
We go through unbelievable changes becoming mothers: physiological, psychological, hormonal…it can feel like a completely bewildering transformation. It can be really really hard. And I believe that even if we can’t change the hard parts of being a mother, we can try to change the feeling of being alone in it.
I want to create something new: a way to communicate that supports the relationships we have; to nurture new relationships with other mothers who are on the same path. A way to learn the best tools that science has to teach about self-compassion and vulnerability, and to pass on our hard earned wisdom to the next generation of mothers.
All grounded in compassion and kindness.
I hope that you will join me.
Love, K
